Height and Form: herbaceous perennial legume, with 5 to 25 stems, which usually reach a height of 15-25 inches
Foliage and Bark: slender branched stems that bear pinnate leaves which are arranged alternately on the stem. 
Flowers, Fruit and Seeds: blue-violet colored flowers, attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds
